an artist exploring life through clay & her camera lens

i love moments: the everyday little ones that are often repeated so much that we no longer experience them, we just get them done. you know those mundane ones, that end up making the most of our days, rarely shifting and changing, always remaining. these are the ones i want to remember. these are the ones that make up our lives. these are the moments that i want to make magical.

whether it be through the words i write, the photos i capture or the ceramics i create - making work that i, and those who partake in it, can come back to like an old treasured friend is a journey i’m happy to be on.

its wonky is playful, comfortable, endearing and functional art that is made to meet you where you’re at and add a spark of joy to those little moments that the busy often makes us miss.

pottery found me when i needed it most and has been one of the best and toughest teachers i have ever had, molding me into a better version of the artist i have always been.

your goodlight was born from a desire to be somewhat of a fly on the wall with a camera in hand, capturing the lives of the artists and small business owners, who are the heart and soul of my community, doing what makes them feel alive.

producing lived-in images that capture the essence of the brands, artists, and entrepreneurs that i work with is something that has motivated, challenged, and developed new strengths in me as a photographer and business owner over the past four years.

documenting my art is a crucial part of the process and another creative outlet for me to experience while making. bringing people into my quiet working moments helps me paint the whole picture. it’s not just a photo taken or a cup made, it’s a creative lifestyle that i’m making for myself and hope to maintain for years to come.

so here’s an instagram-like peek into what’s happening right now
