rachel: in-home portrait session
this is rachel and this is my living room turned studio shoot i did with her. the goal was something strong and soft - just like rach.
i used an 86” umbrella for the strobe and a reflector. after some furniture shifting, i tested the light on some pots, and my beautiful husband. i love how much can happen even in a small space, the possibilities are endless!
in the end, i went with a tan backdrop instead which brightened things up. i moved the light around during the shoot to make less or more shadows, and used the wall for some shots as well. i love experimenting with light and noticing the subtle changes that occur when you shift and move!
