getting back to work

i did it. it took me most of the month of january to get here, but I got back on my wheel and made a small batch of pieces that I'm very excited about.

it’s been a struggle to start because working in my living room just isn’t quite doing it for me anymore 😅 but I'm trying to find small ways that i can make this environment a lil’ more enjoyable for me since i'm not trying to rent a studio anytime soon.

by rearranging my setup before i started i was able to build some excitement around it and hype myself up to get messy behind the wheel again.

i'm trying to build a lifestyle as a potter and not a production studio, which was an important line to draw for myself. i'm in my little lifestyle lane doing what i got to do and want to do to build a successful little business for myself as an artist. and i think success for me simply looks like having money to pay my bills, eat yummy food, travel, and save. it also means i have time for friends, family, and rest - while also digging deep into my crafts as an artist without significant external pressures.

please enjoy a little day in my life getting back into the swing of things in this vlog!
